03 BUSINESS GROUPS GET 5TH ELECTRICITY REDUCTION DUE TO COVID-19

On September 6, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Official Letter 5411/BCT-DDL on supporting the reduction of electricity prices and the 5th electricity bill reduction for electricity users affected by Covid-19.
Accordingly, the subjects are supported to reduce the 5th electricity charge when meeting the following conditions:
(i) Factories or production facilities located in provinces and centrally-affiliated cities are implementing social distancing under Directive 16/CT-TTg as of August 25, 2021 and are maintaining production in the following areas:
+ Enterprises processing and preserving seafood and products from seafood;
+ Enterprises processing and preserving vegetables;
+ Enterprises producing exports with export turnover in 2020 of over US$1 billion.
(ii) Customers who purchase electricity directly from Electricity Corporation/Electricity Company of Vietnam Electricity Group or other electricity retail units.
Electricity price reduction support level: 10% reduction in electricity bill (before VAT) on electricity bill. The support period for electricity bill reduction is 03 months at the september electricity bill period until the end of the electricity bill period in November 2021.
