SANCTIONED ACTS IN COVID PREVENTION TODAY
Currently, the epidemic situation is tense. Many provinces, including Hanoi, have implemented social distancing, with people only leaving their homes in case of necessity. However, in practice, there are still many individuals who defy the provisions of the law, perform acts such as large gatherings, not wearing masks when going out,.... The law provides for sanctioning levels for violations of epidemic prevention and control rules in Decree 117/2020/ND-CP as follows:
-           Gathering more than 2 people in public places, outside schools, hospitals and workplaces: a fine of VND 10-20 million (individual), VND 20-40 million (organization).
-           Out on the street when not needed: 1-3 million VND
-           Do not keep a distance of less than 2m: a fine of VND 1-3 million.
-           Litter is masks, medical equipment in public places: 3 - 7 million VND
-           Spreading false information about COVID-19: a fine of VND 10-15 million (individual), VND 20-30 million (organization), imprisonment of up to 7 years under the Criminal Code 2015.
-           Do not wear masks in public places: VND 3-5 million
-           Evading medical isolation: a fine of VND 15-20 million, criminal handling if hiding from isolation causes damage of over VND 100 million.
And there are a series of other acts that are also in violation, some of which can also be punishable by up to 15 years in prison as prescribed by the Criminal Code.
