THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALLY STOPS ISSUANCE OF FAMILY REGISTRY, TEMPORARY RESIDENCE REGISTRY
From July 1, the new Residence Law officially takes effect, requesting the residence registration office to revoke the issued book when people change the information in family registries or temporary residence registries.
Some procedures for requesting the revoicing of the book include: permanent residence registration, adjustment of information in the database on residence, separation of households, deletion of permanent residence registration, registration/deletion of temporary residence registration and extension of temporary residence.
Books that are not subject to recall can still be used normally. Also from July 1, 2021, the regulations on non-issuance of family registries and temporary residence registries are not applied; instead this data will be stored on the Electronic Residence Database.
By January 1, 2023, family registries and temporary residence registries will be officially deleted.
