November 13^th 2020, the 10^th Meeting, 14^th National Assembly enacted the Law on Amendments and Supplements to certain Articles of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations. This Law is taking effects as of January 1^st2022, including 3 regulations. Some noticing points are regarding as below:
 - Principles of handling of administrative violations:
A person commits many administrative violations or repeatedly commits administrative violations shall be sanctioned for each violation, unless the repeatedly administrative violation is prescribed by the Government as an aggravating circumstance.
 - Maximum fine level:
Increase the maximum fine level of 10 fields: Road traffic; social evil prevention and control; cipher; education; management and protection of national borders; electricity; protection of consumer interests; newspapers; real estate business.
Adding the maximum fine level in new fields that have not regulated by Law on Handling of Administrative Violations yet: network security, network information safety; state audit activities; intellectual property; …
- Adding titles of post holders competent to sanction administrative violations with the aim to ensure consistency and avoid overlapping handling.
