HIGHLIGHTS OF CIRCULAR 01/2021/TT-BGTVT ?

Circular 01/2021/TT-BGTVT officially took effect on March 15, 2021. The content of the circular includes amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Circular 29/2015/TT-BGTVT dated July 6, 2015 of the Minister of Transport on the issue and use of national driving licenses and Circular 12/2017/TT-BGTVT dated April 15, 2017 of the Minister of Transport, providing for training, testing and licensing road motor vehicles.

A remarkable point of this Circular is that the individual can apply for an international IDP and receive a driving license at home through the online public service system of Directorate for Roads of Vietnam or the Department of Transport, in the past, only direct application and results were received.

In addition, the Circular also delayed the use of traffic simulation software of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, the Department of Transport to test drivers until June 1, 2022 instead of January 5, 2021.
