ONE MORE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT HAS BEEN SIGNED.

On March 12th 2021, The Government promulgate Decree 31/NQ-CP related to approve the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and UK (UKVFTA).

The UKVFTA Agreement is negotiated based on the principle of inheriting the commitments made in the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union (EVFTA) with the necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with the bilateral trade framework between Vietnam and the UK. Agreement includes 9 articles; 01 appendix amending a number of articles of the EVFTA; 01 Protocol and 01 bilateral letter exchanged between Vietnam and UK.

The UKVFTA Agreement will create a comprehensive, long-term and stable economic-trade cooperation framework between Vietnam and the UK, thereby creating an impetus for strengthening and deepening the multifaceted cooperation between two sides, especially in the context of the two sides has just extend the deadline to maintain the bilateral strategic partner level.

 Until now, Vietnam has signed a lot of free trade agreements with developed countries in the world, Vietnamese enterprises should take advantage of it to develop production and economy.
